In 2024 we traded Amsterdam for a piece of land in Central Portugal. A camper, an old ruin and a killer view. Not much else, really. But plenty of room for a new adventure.
One day, driving through the hills of Central Portugal, Katrien told me she couldn't find the perfect sweater. Oversized, preferably wool, and good for chilly evenings, post-surf sessions and late nights around the bonfire. Something that feels like an old favourite from day one.
She couldn't find it. So we thought, why not make one ourselves?
Little did we know, it would spark a whole new passion. Boards of Portugal was born, inspired by surf culture, off-grid life in the Portuguese countryside and the simple pleasure of being outside.
We're now working on our hero piece, the Bonfire Sweater. Made in Portugal, with care, by people who know their craft. Built to be worn, lived in and loved for years.
